We will continue with rotating shut offs. So today August 8th, we will shut off Dalton Drive, Dinner Bay Road, Lundy Lane or Leighton Lane from 10:00am till around 5pm.
Tomorrow Saturday it will be Spinnaker, Mariners and Callaghan.
Our partial shut offs helped to reduce consumption to less than we were able to pump into the treatment plant, so we’ve managed to increase our storage. However it’s still much too low – this morning it was at 12% – so we need to continue to restrict water use. As well, some of our wells are showing signs of stress, as is typical in late summer. We are coming into a weekend, so depending on what we see in the next 24 hours we may need to implement broader and longer restrictions.
We have seen very low outflows in the middle of the night, which is evidence to us that we’re no longer dealing with leaks. We have two deliveries of water coming next week (Monday, Tuesday), and we have booked four deliveries for the following week.
