Update Sept 3: Slowly going back to normal

Hello VPID residents,

For the first time in quite a while, we are pleased to report encouraging news.

Water usage over the Labour Day weekend was not as high as we anticipated, and consequently our wells have been able to meet demand without depleting our storage. We are very grateful to the community for your efforts to conserve water. It has made a difference.

Even better, for the past several days there has been no evidence of leaks. Water flow out of the plant in the middle of the night is dropping to zero, which is a good indication of the absence of leaks.

Our storage tanks at the plant are now more than half full. The last time this was the case was in mid-June.

This fall we will be completing the installation of two new storage tanks, which will increase our storage capacity by 10,000 gallons to nearly 100,000 gallons in total. We will also be discussing acquisition of more tanks at our next board meeting.

Again, thanks everyone for your support during this very challenging summer.
