VPID water users,
We are in that period of the year when our ability to pump water into the water treatment plant struggles to match demand. Our storage tanks are currently at around 30% of their capacity, down from over 50% a few days ago.
Please be mindful of your water use when you are on Mayne Island. If you have people visiting you or friends using your home be sure to emphasize the importance of water conservation to them: short showers, avoid doing laundry whenever possible, don’t flush toilets every time you pee, etc. The steps you can take to limit water use are common sense, and it really does make difference.
