Over the past 24 hours, we brought over 20,000 gallons into the treatment plant, and only 13,700 went out. This is the best differential we have had in input versus outputs in over a week. Yay!
We believe the substantially reduced outflow is a reflection of two things: our success at finding and stopping leaks yesterday, and the community’s efforts to conserve water. For the latter, we’d like to extend our sincere gratitude.
Having said this, we’re not “out of the woods” yet. Storage is still well below where we need it to be for the rest of the summer. We are still planning one more night of partial water shut-offs, from 11 pm tonight to 8 am tomorrow. This shut-off will affect Spinnaker, Mariners west of Dinner Bay Road, and Callaghan. We will send another update this evening confirming this.
Our first delivery of trucked-in water will arrive tomorrow morning. We’re planning to bring more water in later in the week, but in the meantime will watch our storage closely.
As always, thanks to you all for your patience and cooperation.
